East Coast Railway thrashed North Frontier Railway by six wickets in a league match of the All-India Inter-Railway Cricket Tournament at Jadavpur, Kolkata on Monday.
According to report received here, Shankar Rao again shone in the East Coast win (third in four matches), hitting 68 and bagging three wickets.
East Coast will play their last league tie against defending champions Eastern Railway on Tuesday.
Brief scores: North Frontier 183/10 in 49.3 overs (Kulamani Parida 3/17, Shankar Rao 2/40) lost to East Coast 186/4 in 31.1 overs (Shankar Rao 68, Samir Mohanty 67, Subit Biswal 28 n.o).
